Adoption Days! Please join Second Chance Animal Rescue Society(SCARS)for some special adoption events. We will be at TAILZ , a new premium pet products retailer and dog daycare facility in Edmonton, on Saturday, July 5th and 19th from 12-3pm. Tailz is located on the corner of 163 Street and Stony Plain Road (please click here for a map) We will have many wonderful adoptable dogs to meet!

Woman of Vision Sylvia Christiansen SCARS founder and President
has been named The Global Edmonton Woman of Vision for her dedicated support
of animal welfare. Her energy and determination has made Second Chance
Animal Rescue Society such an amazing organization! Her vision of giving animals who most need help a second chance has
resulted in the formation of our charitable group which has rescued and re-homed
over 2000 animals. Sylvia is inspiring and her passion for the cause knows no

SCARS will be appearing on Global Edmonton every Saturday! Please watch for us at 9:45am on the Saturday Morning News. We will be highlighting two of of furry friends each week!

SCARS is a non-profit charitable organization and can issue tax receipts. We are only funded by our members and supporters and currently do not receive government financial support. If you would like to contribute to our worthwhile cause, please donate online. A tax receipt will be issued for all donations over $20.00
