Okay - I don't look like this anymore...I am all grown up now, but I am just waiting for my foster mommy to take a photo of me. I am a large girl who was returned to SCARS after 3-years through no fault of my own.

More on me soon...

Don't know why, but no-one ever calls about adopting me. I've been with SCARS for awhile and I even made an appearance on Global in June, but still no calls. I'm a very handsome guy and I will be the most loyal friend you could ever ask for in this life. I've been in this foster home now for a couple of months. I have friends to play with, but only the girls because I don't like boy dogs very much. I love to play, cuddle, eat. Toys are a big hit with me too. I am the perfect house dog! I am very loyal and quiet. I will hang on to your every word. I've taken obedience and a little bit of agility, which I would love to continue. Are you active? Maybe a jogger, power walker, or how about camping? I'm in! Call me, meet me and fall in love with me! You will see, I'll be your best friend forever!

YES, YOU HEARD RIGHT, I'M GOING TO BE AT TAILZ ON SATURDAY, JULY 5TH FROM 12-3. I'M SO EXCITED.

For further adoption information please call (780) 220 - 1201

HEY ALL!

I have been here a long time and I'm starting to get a complex about it. I am a beautiful medium size girl. I love hanging out with Tyson and some of my other boyfriends, but I am not so fond of all those other female dogs. I love love love people and want to be with you all the time. I am pretty well behaved. I would do best in a family with older children or just adults. I am house trained and love being inside. Oh and no cats, please!

I may be a Rhodisian Ridgeback cross. I have the most interesting colors along my back and very beautiful eyes. Some people think I look like I'm wearing eyeliner! (Go figure!) I have very short fur so I need to be an inside dog. Do I fit what you are looking for?

Who remembers me?? Well, it's been a couple of years, and I am back with SCARS but by no fault of my own. My owners went seperate ways & neither had the time for me, so once again, I am looking for a home to love me and care for me, and in return I can promise to keep your feet warm at night.

When I first came to SCARS I had been hit by a truck & had a broken leg and pelvis. I have pins in my leg and everything is all healed up, and boy can I run! Only problem is, if I get out of the yard, I do like to run. So I am looking for an active home that will make sure I get lots of excercise and socialization - I'm great with other dogs, kids, people, I'm just all around GREAT ! Oh, and I'm about 4yrs old, house-trained, crate-trained, need a little work on my manners, but who doesn't?

If you think you could be the home for me, please call the number below to come out and meet me. !

I WILL BE AT TAILZ THIS WEEKEND FROM 12 TO 3

Who's looking for a large walking teddy bear? I am a large possibly Chow/Rottie cross. I LOVE playing ball , LOVE it! I am a large guy and maybe not suitable for smaller children as my manners really do need to be worked on. I am very friendly and sometimes to smart for my own good, so my foster mom says when it's time to go back in my run. My favorite sport is dropping the ball right in front of the mower so my foster mom HAS to play.

For further information please call (780) 466- SCAR

I will love you to pieces!

I am a Lab cross and have these beautiful brindle markings. I am a medium sized guy. I have been here for some time and my foster mom just does not get it, I'm just as loveable as those cute little puppies but you know exactly what your getting when you adopt one of us older guys. Like a puppy I love attention and love giving kisses. I love long walks and I listen so well, even when I have better things to do. I do have lots of energy so I do need an active family. I know I have just been unlucky in the home finding department but my foster mom says good things happen to those that are patient. So I will continue to wait for the perfect family to come along.

You can call me Finn. I look like a completely different dog now. I have grown all my hair back and boy am I handsome. As you can see I have a purple tongue, so likely a Chow cross. I am very friendly and have been good with other dogs, but I really don't like cats. I'm a large guy (approx. 70lbs). I am house trained, great on and off leash and love attention. So I'm all good now, so if your thinking of adopting me, I can not wait to be the center of someones world. Please click here to see additional photos of me

Any ball players!!! I could go for hours playing. I am a Rottie cross and am a medium sized girl. Like I said, I LOVE playing with balls or anything that can be thrown. I am only about a year old and I would prefer a home with no small children as I think I would not be the best one to teach them how to share their toys.

I've got spunk, good looks and I'm pretty darn smart. I'm great with people and with most dogs but don't even show me a cat! So if you have no cats and are looking for a girl that is house trained, great on and off leash, LOVES toys, especially the squeaky ones we need to talk. I am a medium sized Shepard and really am a nice girl.

Are you looking for a loving, mature cat, with great manners, and a serene personality? Then I'm her! I'm not old, just not a kitten. I've grown out of that "keep you up all night" stuff, and I don't need any of that kitten food anymore. I won't climb your curtains, or bite your toes. I will talk to you, sit on the side of the bathtub, and I'll even watch TV with you. If you want to share your dinner with me, that would be nice, but really It's not necessary. This picture does not do me justice. I really am beautiful. I think I would prefer a calm environment for my permanent home. Oh, and a scratching post by the window would be nice as well. Someone to love and cherish me as I deserve.

CAN YOU BELIEVE I AM COMING TO TAILZ ON SATURDAY?!? FINALLY, IT IS MY TURN TO COME & SHOW OFF WHAT A BEAUTIFUL GIRL I AM. I AM SURE EVERYONE WILL WANT TO COME AND SEE ME.

Hi I am Sunny and the best word to describe me is amazing.

First, let me  tell you about some of the not so good things I have experienced! Most noticeably, I only have three legs. Someone shot me in the front leg and left me without medical attention. By the time SCARS rescued me from the pound, my leg was so damaged it could not be saved. Prior to this I lost half my tail (my Foster family doesn’t want to imagine how that happened). Also, it looks like another dog bit off the tip of one of my ears!

As my body betrays, I have had difficult times in my life; but, none of the bad things that have happened to me have affected my sweet disposition. I am great with other dogs, and all people. I have learned to walk on all different types of surfaces, I love the couch and the cupboard that has all the delicious treats in it! I am good in the car and I am house trained. I still have trouble with stairs, but I expect I will get better at this with a little more practice. I am an amazingly gentle and loving fellow.

My Foster Mom says I have the courage of a champion and the soul of an angel. SCARS saved me, so I can bring joy into your life. I am a very special guy. Are you the very special family for me?

My foster mom just has to say I am so wonderful!! I am a Shepard cross and am such a nice guy. I have the craziest ears that kind of look like propellers. Maybe that's how I got the name Buzz! I want nothing more then to make you happy. I so well behaved. My foster mom can not think of anything wrong with me. I am a little shy at first but that does not last long. I love going for quad rides or just watching my foster mom work in the yard. I have been good with other dogs, but no idea about cats yet. I really like playing with Peanut and sometimes we play outside longer than my foster mom likes (sorry)! I am very good natured, and need to find that lucky home to take me in forever!

A SCARS Quiz - Who remembers Pumpkin?

Well to make a long story short SCARS had Pumpkin some time ago, she was extremely shy but with a lot of patience she has since found her home. At the same time as we caught Pumpkin we picked up 6 three week old puppies. The puppies were bottle fed because we could not catch the mother but the puppies had to be moved -or else. So, originally we tried to catch Pumpkins sister, who was the mother of the puppies. Confused yet? SCARS was very upset that we could not catch the mother and never did see her again until now. Who could forget this face? This little girl ended up at the pound with coincidentally 3 more puppies. So we are thrilled to have Pumpkins sister finally in our care.

Some people think that black cats are scary, but I assure you I am anything but scary! If you are looking for a lovable girl that enjoys sitting on your lap, being petted and purrs like crazy, well then look no further. I even give kisses if you let me :o) I have been very friendly with every person I have met, I am looking for the purrfect home, maybe it’s yours.

Hi Everyone, my official name is Moesley but you can call me Moe Moe just like the children do in my new foster home. I want you to know that I am a great guy.(I must be, because my foster daddy really likes me.)I love my human's, especially the children. I am great off leash and not to bad on the leash. My foster mom is working with me on that. I think I am a Collie/Newfie cross but I am not really sure. I am a little older but still full of life and love.
A couple other things you should know about me. I am not a big fan of cats, so a cat free home would be the best. And I am better with the lassy dogs then I am with the gentlemen dogs. I know there is someone special out there for me, I just can't figure out why it is taking so long for you to find me.

Do you think you can give this guy a wonderful home? If yes, give the number below a call.

I'M GOING TO BE AT TAILZ ON SATURDAY, JULY 5TH FROM 12-3. SEE YOU THERE!

I just wanted to update everyone on myself. First I'm a great girl!I love people, good with most other dogs and I'm just a good girl. My specialty is playing with another doggy buddy, love it, love it. I am a medium sized Rotti cross. I know people can be afraid of us Rotties, specially us one eyed ones but I'm very sweet. If you think I might be the girl for your family, just give me a call, I maybe busy chasing Sinbad around but I'll make the time for you.

What a beautiful guy I am. I am a large Shepard and am about 6 years old. I was surrendered by my owners into another shelter and am now here. Don't worry it was not because of anything I had done wrong. I am house trained, great with other dogs, and listen to every word you say. I do pull on a leash, so I may require a little work on that unless you don't mind having any feeling in your hand. I am great off leash.

Hello everyone. I came to SCARS back in Sept.2007 with my littermates. I was adopted out, but my family has decided to return me. I seem to be afraid of men, but we don't know why. I think that in the right home, and with lots of patience and work, I can get over this, or maybe I just need to be a ladie's dog.

I am 10 months old now, and am very beautiful. I only weigh 30lbs and would do very well at things like agility or fly-ball. I have a lot of energy, but I'm still a very sweet little girl.

I am in my new foster home with a mom, a few dogs, horses, and lots of room to run. My foster mom will fill you in more on my personality as she gets to know me.

Why am I smiling? Because I know how I can steal your heart! And I am one happy guy!

I have 3 acres to run on with four other four leggers. We have lots of fun playing tag out in the yard. That is my favorite game, oh besides playing fetch. I am crate trained, house trained, listen very well, and am just an all around happy go lucky guy. Also, I am only about a year and a half old. Just like you I have some stipulations as to where I would like to live. I would love to go to a home that does not have cats, as they are too fast to catch, and a home without children would keep me the relaxed kinda guy that I am. That's a short list of requirements, don't 'ya think?

Call the number below if you want to come and meet me. Ssshhhh I will show you where they keep the dog bones!

It's been a tough life, I have spent my entire life before SCARS chained up. I have many things to learn yet, which sadly are things I should already know. I will take a little time, but my foster has patience, so I will keep you updated on how I do.

I need a home with an experienced dog handler and someone is willing to work with me daily. I can be very leery of people until I know you. I will love you unconditionally once I know you can be trusted. I love exercise and need someone dedicated to taking me for long walks. Are you that person?

I am a 2 year old collie cross and am about 55 pounds. I am so beautiful and smart. I have been waiting for awhile for a family that knows just how wonderful I can be. My foster mom says the list of good things about me could go on forever but I'll share some of them with you:

1. I am house trained and VERY well behaved indoors
2. I love playing with other dogs (especially Druid)
3. I am the BEST listener in the world.
5. I love running, playing and walking

I do have some things my new owners need to help me with. I hate kennels or crates so I need someone who will be patient with me. I need an experienced owner who knows how to work with dogs who can be fearful in new situations. I am not sure how I will be with cats, but I would be better in a home without young kids. I need a lot of exercise to keep my waist slim and trim. I also would prefer an indoor home as I have never lived outside. I may sound demanding, but a girl has to dream for the perfect home, right? If you think your home fits the bill, give me a call! Update: I have just spent a week with a trainer and had a blast. I did so well and am looking forward to practicing all the cool new things.

Here are more pictures of my beautiful self!

Well, here I am, back in the saddle. I was returned, due to no fault of my own. Darn allergies! Well, I am going to miss my last home very much, they were so good to me and they taught me all kinds of things that a puppy should learn. Thanks so much for loving me like you did.

They say I am a Lab cross, and am now about 9 months old, neutered, microchipped, all my shots, housetrained and full of ALL kinds of energy.I am now about 65 lbs and a solid guy. I am super loving and love to play fetch and chew on my toys. That is a big one, chewing on toys because if I dont have anything that you have given me to chew on, I will find something. I am great with children and love to play with other dogs.

What ya say? You, me date at the dog park??? I'll bring my ball!!!!!!.

I'M GOING TO BE AT TAILZ ON SATURDAY, JULY 5TH FROM 12-3. COME ON DOWN & MEET ME!

Hi All! I am Tasha, a Husky Sheppard mix whose goal in life is to love and be loved. I am 8 months old, and love people, dogs, and children. Now that I have introduced my fine furry self, I would like to share with you some good news and bad news.

First the good news…
I am pretty much the best dog you can imagine. I am house trained and so very well behaved. I have the best manners around. In fact my foster mom asked me to teach her dogs a few trick. I never jump up on people, I very rarely bark, and ask very nicely to go outside. I am kennel trained and know how to sit and am working on stay. I even wait to be invited onto the couch before I come up to cuddle. I give the nicest kisses around and would be great in a home with kids and other dogs. I am about 60 pounds now and will be close to 80 when I am done growing. That all sounds perfect, right?

And now for the bad news…
I haven’t had the best luck in my short life. I am only about 8 months old and have what the vets call “hip dysplasia” which is pretty uncommon in a young dog like me. Apparently I was born with it. I have been in a lot of pain most of my short life. I am on pain medicine daily and have a very difficult time keeping up with my foster siblings. I want so badly play with all my K9 friends, but it just hurts so much when I try. I can only go on short walks without whining to sit for a while. Recently, SCARS has got me in to see a specialist who said he can do surgery to fix my hips! Hurrah! He said this surgery can give me a new life without pain and discomfort. Once the surgery is done, I will be a new dog and ready for a furever home of my own!

The only catch is that the surgery is very expensive. There are very few people who would pay for me to get my little hips working again, but SCARS thinks I am worth it. I will most likely have to wait until I am one year old, when I am fully grown. Until then, I am asking people to help SCARS help animals like me, animals that would not otherwise be given that second chance. I will keep you posted on my health.

UPDATE

May 1: I met with the vet again today and he said my hips are the same, no better, no worse. Because of this, I have to wait for about 4-6 months before surgery is a viable option. Until then, keep me in your thoughts. I am still up for adoption, but will need a family dedicated to keep me pain-free and who can financially afford a dog like me long term.

My brother Duke and I have been in our foster home since before Christmas. We are now 7 months old and doing great. We really love our foster mom, and we know she loves us, but it is time we expanded our horizons and found our forever homes. We were a bit sick when we first came to SCARS, but we are all better now & ready to worm our way into a new family. I can be more on the shy side, but what a sweetheart I am. I know I will miss my brother if we don't get to stay together, but if the right home comes along, I know we will adjust.

For further information, call (780) 462-8482 Edmonton

Taniel and I have been in our foster home since before Christmas. It is thought we may have had distemper, or maybe it was just an upper respiratory virus that had to run its course. Either way, we are good now, and we've both been to the doc for our big surgeries already. We've been vaccinated, microchipped, and we are all healthy and ready to go, just waiting for the right home to come along. I am definitely the more outgoing of the two of us, but I'm still a real good snuggler. It would appear that I have a very small bladder, so I will require a home that is understanding of that and realize that I'm not going to be one of those dogs that you can leave for hours without having access to somewhere to do my business. Other than that, I am great. Taniel & I have been together since we were born, and we are now 7 months old, so we will miss each other very much if we are separated, but if the right homes come along, we will adjust.

Give the number below a call to set up an appt to meet my sister or me.

I AM GOING TO BE AT TAILZ ON SATURDAY FROM 12-3. MY SISTER, BEING A GIRL AN ALL, HAS A BIT OF A TUMMY ACHE, SO SHE HAS TO STAY HOME, BUT SHE SENDS HER REGARDS. ME ON THE OTHER HAND, CAN'T WAIT TO MEET EVERYONE!

That's me in the front with my buddies Druid and Sasha. I am a medium sized girl about 45lbs. I would be best suited to a home without small children, as I can be a nervous girl. I am great with other dogs and am house trained.

I came to SCARS before I was even born. My mom, Mary, was at a northern pound and was pregnant with 9 babies. Sadly, only 4 of us survived. I've been in my foster home in the city since I was 10 days old, and I am now 4 1/2 months old. My two sisters and one brother have all been adopted by their new families, and I know there is someone very special out there for me, because I am a very special girl (that's what my foster mom tells me all the time). I am so sweet, but very timid. There are other dogs in my foster home, and 3 kids, so I'm fairly well socialized. I will be a fairly big girl when I am all done my growing as I currently weigh 47 lbs.

I am looking for a family who is going to take me into their home and make me part of their family, and the spend the time with me that every young pup needs. I am house-trained and kennel-trained, and my foster mom is working on my leash-training.

(a.k.a. Ursa Minor) I am now taking applications for a potential owner. I am 12 -18 months old and even if I do say so myself, I am pretty well the perfect dog. I am house trained, very well socialized with people, and other dogs but unfortunately I haven't passed my Cat restraint course yet. I am probably a fully grown Chow/Cattle dog mix, weigh 49 lbs and I love exercise, swimming and running. I will fit in well as a single dog or with other dogs in a household. I am good at coming back to my foster parents when off leash and even though I get a little anxious with travelling in cars I have travelled over 12 hours in a car when I went to BC last month with my foster family. They were very proud of me. I have all my shots, have been micro-chipped and spayed. I had a somewhat sad start to life as my only litter of adorable puppies all died when they had distemper. I have recovered from this shock and still have a great outlook on life despite this. I myself am very healthy. My foster parents say that whoever adopts me will get one great dog. I couldn't agree more! Kind regards Ursula"

SCARS welcomes Cara!

Cara is a Lab cross and about 2 years old. Like so many of our dogs Cara arrived from a Northern Pound in poor condition with the added problem of a disfigured eye. The vets diagnosed Glaucoma. Cara immediately went to surgery and had her eye removed. The good news is that she is no longer in pain. The even better news is the Glaucoma was caused by trauma, so her loss of vision will not spread to her other eye. SCARS would like to thank the Westlock Vet Clinic for their commitment to all our dogs and the attention they gave Cara so she would not have to go another day in pain.

Cara is a short-haired very happy go lucky dog. She has been good with kids, adults and other dogs. After her surgery she briefly stopped by her Foster Dad’s class and confidently met the Grade 10 students to help share the SCARS story. Cara is medium sized currently weighing just over 50 pounds. She has moved into the house at her foster home and appears to be house trained and is quiet in her crate at night. Cara will make a loving companion, please consider making her your friend for life, or donating to SCARS to help pay for medical bills for all our animals.

Elvis is a kind hearted young dog who is very loyal to his owners. He was found in the dump on Alexander reserve. He does try to escape, and he did run away from his first adoptive home for 5 days and was returned to SCARS. He does take off from the yard, but he returns within 5 minutes. His foster Mom says Elvis is the most gentle canine soul she has ever met (he absolutely melts my little heart!). Elvis seeks a forever home with an escape-proof fence, where he can learn to stay put! If you would like to meet Elvis, call the number below and we can set the date!

March 10,2008 - Almost four months ago, my life was saved…I was so sick, broken and tired especially on this -29 degrees Celsius day!

Before coming to SCARS I had lived my whole life on a Northeastern reserve, but luckily I had a guardian angle. Although, I thought that I was alone, a lady kept watch over me for over a year. She would see me pregnant or with you pups, she would see me scavenging for food to feed my family…

When she saw that I was too weak, too cold, too thin and she knew that I would not survive on my own for much longer, she gathered me up and put me in her car and surrendered me to SCARS. All of a sudden life was very different. Although I was shivering uncontrollably, my teeth chattered and my ears were frozen, I knew that life was about to get better…

The vet who saw me told my foster-mom all about my hard life – things I couldn’t say! I have had multiple pregnancies, was suffering from demodex, was severely underweight, I am missing many top teeth and had broken my bottoms ones and my ears had been frozen so many times that there is permanent thickening and I am missing a piece of my ear. He also told my foster mom that I am between 8 – 10 years old!

Now, my hair has grown back and they say I'm gorgeous! I hear words like 'so sweet' and 'good natured' all the time. My doggie dream has come true; I have someone who loves me! I know there is someone else who would love me too and I really hope that one day I will have my forever home!

Well, here I am, Big Mac as they call me, relaxing atop the hot tub cover. Am I one good looking dude or what? I am 95 lbs of lap dog. I guess that means I don't realize I am as big as I am, and thus should be able to fit on your lap for a little snuggle.

My foster home has found that I'm not quite sure if cats are for eatting, or playing with, so it is thought best that I don't go to a home with cats, just in case. But I've been getting along with the dogs in my foster home, and I love people. Could I be the dog for you?

They just don't come more handsome then me. I am a large guy (aprox. 90lbs) and am about 2-3 years old. I have been good with other dogs but do not like those cats. I love to play with Sarah and love my quad rides. I am very friendly and love my rub downs.

Hello. While you may remember me as Fran, my foster home calls me Harmony, because that is really a better description of who I am. I have a shiny copper coat, and am calm, gentle, and quiet. I am about 2 years old and only weigh about 15 pounds. I am part Corgi (and maybe daschund). I have the most lovely large ears and short legs to prove it! Looks like I’ll have to watch what I eat to maintain my girlish figure, but I do love my walks. Not sure about cats yet, but I hear I will be meeting one soon. I think I would be a good addition to a home with anyone willing to love and play with me. Please call if you think we can be pals for life!

HEY EVERYONE! I'M GOING TO BE AT TAILZ ON SATURDAY TOO. I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET EVERYONE; SEE YOU THERE!

I am originally from a pound, but have settled into my foster home nicely. I am a medium sized guy and am most likely a Collie cross. So, this is me in a nut shell: 1. I love to play with toys. 2. I have been great with other dogs. 3. I listen very well, except when play time is over I pretend I can not hear you or at least stay at arms length away from you, NOT FUNNY is what my foster mom keeps telling me. 4. I am crate trained. 5. Love going for my quad rides. To learn more about me you will have to come meet me.

I am an older gentleman, but a gentleman none-the-less. I am not sure how I ended up at the pound, but thankfully SCARS rescued me from certain death.

Could you be the one to provide me with a loving retirement home? I may be an older dog, but I still have a few years left in me, and I'm a real good boy!

It's another one of those stories, the kind you hate to hear about but the kind that has a happy ending. When SCARS went to pound this week I was just arriving, and they noticed I was not using my one front leg. I went right the vet and they did all sorts of x-rays to see what had happened. SCARS was told I was hit by a ski doo. When they went to do surgery it was discovered it was an older injury and it could not be fixed, it had just been left to long. So they had to remove my one front leg. You would think that would get me down but I feel great and have even mastered the stairs. I am a wonderful little Collie cross about 8 months old. I am great with the other dogs in my foster home and even the cat. Through this whole thing I have been so gentle and friendly.

Now if you like fluffy, I'm the girl for you. I am a medium sized possibly Akita cross, about 9 months old. I am super friendly and love going for runs. I'm not as fast and don't have the endurance that Bull does but I keep up. If you think I can keep up to your pace, give me a call.

My foster mom brags about how smart I am. I am so smart, that I have learned how to open the door. I am very loving and love to cuddle and especially love my belly rubbed. I absolutely love my quad rides and for a older guy I can go! No worries I have never ran away I just make that quad work. Though I like it here, I really would like more attention and more cuddles.

I am back after three years.

I'm a little bit of an escape artist when I lived in the city, but I absolutely love being out on an acreage!

When I first came back to SCARS, it took me a couple of weeks to settle in learn to trust everyone around here, but now I love it. I LOVE to run and go quading. My foster mom says this is the kind of life I would love to have forever!

I grew up with kids and another dog but do not like cats. I am a larger Sheppard cross. If you think you have the room and energy for me, I promise I'll do my best to make you happy.

Breaking news! I love swimming! Here are some pictures of me doing the things I love!

Hi everyone! My name is Odie, and I am new to SCARS. I am 10 months old, and we are not quite sure what breed I am, but I am a very sweet boy. My foster home found me when I was just a baby & was starving and abandoned out at a lake. They have taken care of me for as long as they could while trying to find a good home for me, and now SCARS has offered to help me try to find my forever home.

I am very smart, and my foster mom is currently taking me to doggy classes to make me an even better dog! I'm so excited!

If you would like to meet me & think I could be the boy for you, please call the number below.

I am a 4 to 5 month old Terrier Sheppard cross. I will probably be a medium size dog when I am fully grown. I am a little shy right now, but and learning to trust people more and more every day. I seem to be ok with cats, but I think I should probably meet yours first. I would be a good addition to a home with kids or adults. I love to play and once I know you, I will wash your face and sit next to you for love. I love playing with my brother Barnaby and my sister Beatrice. Call me and we can set up a time for me to clean your cheeks!

I came from the pound with my two brothers and one sister. My foster mom was very worried about us, we were extremely shy and lets just say it was a messy job trying to handle us. We have come along way but still have a long way to go. My foster mom has no doubts we will continue to improve with a little patience and understanding. I am only about 4 months old.

I am the only princess...I mean little girl...in my litter. I was named after a sweet little girl who loves dogs. I am very sweet and cute and the most outgoing of my four legged family! I would love a home that would be patient with me as I am shy in new situations. I fall in love with people once I know I can trust them, so it won't take long for me to fit into a family environment. I think I would be ok with cats as long as they aren't scary and mean to me. Like I said, I'm just a little princess!

Dear Furever Family,
I haven't met you yet but I would like to tell you what it will be like when I finally get home. I can commit that I will NEVER have an accident in the house. I promise to show you nothing but love and affection. I can guarantee not to ever destroy anything when left alone nor get on furniture. I will walk (or run) with you to the ends of the earth if you would like.
My resume includes being spayed and vaccinated, lots of experience (I'm 5 years old), a good solid build (about 60 lbs), loving the heck out of my people, being completely house trained and crate trained. I'm GREAT with cats and other dogs. I do, however, require a fenced yard as I am just SO friendly, I like to wander and visit.
I am just so ready to slip into my role in YOUR family! I look forward to discussing this further.
Yours Truly,
Lilo
,
I will be at TAILZ on Saturday. Come and meet me-I am awesome!

My name is Willow and I am new around here. Someone found me in his field and he thought I was a deer!! He quickly realized I wasn't a deer, but I do have a pretty banged up leg. I was in bad shape when they first found me and although I am healing, I still have some recovering to do.

I am most likely a wolfhound cross. I am great with other dogs and absolutely love people. I think cats are usually for chasing, but we'll see how that turns out. If you are interested in meeting me, call the number below!

Photo copyright of SCARS JESSE
Hello everyone, my name is Jesse. I'm around 4-5 months old and they think I'm a lab cross. I'm a pretty sturdy little girl (my foster mom said something about being like a bull in a china shop?) weighing in at about 30lbs. I really love my foster mom and stick pretty close to her, even at the off-leash park (someone's gotta protect her!). I also have my new friend, Bubs the 3-legged dog, that lives here, and he's been a lot of fun to play with, and he's teaching me how to bark - turns out I have a good deep bark inside me.

I love stuffies, going to the off leash park, and would never want to miss out on a good snuggle time. I will probably grow up to be a good medium size dog - 60-70lbs, so if you think I would be the right family dog for you, give the number below a call and talk to my agent. Thank-you very much.

I’m 7 weeks old now; only one more week and I’ll be ready for a forever family. My 2 brothers and 1 sister came to SCARS at 3 weeks old from the pound without a mommy and we could fit in the palm of our foster mom’s hand. Foster mom says we sound like a herd of elephants now when we all go running to her. My favorite thing to do is getting picked up for some snuggling and play with that neat green stuff outside those humans call grass. If you think that you can handle all my cuteness then give the number below a call and we can meet – if you bring some yummy treats I will definitely give you some hugs & kisses!

I’m being very tolerant of my 3 brothers and it’s only going to last another week I hope. I’ll be 8 weeks old next week and ready for my forever home; these boys are cramping my style! I am very independent and get the most excited when it’s my turn for special play time with foster mom. I wiggle my little tail with my back end up and bark at foster mom to lie on the floor so I can kiss her all over. I’m also good at keeping those boys in line by sitting on them and knocking them all over. I really like rhinestones and the color pink so if you’re looking for a princess, don’t look any further because I’m your girl.
