Hello again, I have returned to SCARS care after a brief adoption.  It just didn’t work out.  The home I need wasn’t the home the family was able to offer.  I am a middle-aged guy, who has spent his life outdoors.  I like nature, I like open spaces.  Although SCARS always recommends crate training….it isn’t my thing and sometimes teaching old dogs new tricks is a bit of a challenge.  I am a border collie, so that means I am smart and if I set my mind to something I will achieve it……I will find my way out of your crate.  The good news is I am a lovely guy in the right situation.  My new foster home is on an acreage, I get lots of walks, I can be in an outdoor pen in the day and in a kennel run in the shop at night.  This suits me fine.  I am relaxed and happy here.

My ideal home would be with border collie fans, with a fenced acreage, where I can go into and out of a house or building as I liked.  That is the ideal, but I can adapt to other settings that will give me some freedom.  I seem to get along with other dogs, cats are interesting, but I don’t bother them a lot.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we will deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
